Eight Baseball Players Earn All-TRC Honors

Eight members of the Manchester High School baseball team were named to the Three Rivers Conference All-Conference team for 2009.
The Squires had four players named first team, led by freshman pitcher Connor McLaughlin.
McLaughlin went 6-0 in the regular season, 3-0 in the TRC, with an ERA of 1.15. He pitched 42 2/3 innings, had one save, struck out 54 and walked 12.
Cody Semler was first team among infielders, hitting .375 overall, .478 in the TRC with two home runs and 14 RBI. He was fourth in hitting in the conference.
He also went 3-2 on the mound, 1-0 in the TRC with an ERA of 2.38, striking out 23 and walking 16.
Dylin Kennedy was named all-conference for outfielders, hitting .436 overall, .529 in the conference, good for second among all hitters. He had two home runs and 14 RBI.
Brady Miller was first team all-conference among catchers. He hit .329 overall and .318 in conference play. He had four home runs and 21 RBI.
Scott Baker was named second team among pitchers. The sophomore was 5-4 overall, 3-0 in the TRC. He pitched 58 2/3 innings with a 2.15 ERA overall, 0.00 in the TRC. He struck out 64 and walked 27.
Derrek Freshour was named second team among outfielders.
Matt Carver (2nd base) and Corey Thomas (shortstop) were both named Honorable Mention.
