Four Advance To Boys' Track Regional

The Manchester High School boys’ track team finished eighth at the Plymouth Sectional and advanced four runners to the Kokomo Regional on Thursday.
The 400m relay team of Kyle Henderson, Preston Penrod, Derek Jones and Kegan McNeeley were named sectional champions by winning the event with a time of 45.75.
Henderson also advanced to regional in the 100m dash by finishing fourth with a time of 11.91.
Manchester’s next best results were Trae Bruce finishing sixth in the 300m hurdles (44.89) and McNeeley finishing seventh in the 200m dash (25.52).
The 1600m relay team of Skyler Honeycutt, Jones, McNeeley and Bruce finished seventh wiht a time of 3:48.18, while the 3200m relay team of Jared Monce, Dillon Boyd, Grey Harris, and Jacob Vogel were ninth with a time of 9:48.86.
In the 400m dash, Honeycutt was 11th (57.53) and Vogel was 14th (58.95).
In the 800m run, Boyd was ninth (2:15.35) and Monce was 12th (2:22.19).
In the long jump, Penrod was 11th (17' 1"), and in the 300m hurdles, Anderson was 15th (51.12).
The Kokomo Regional is Thursday and results will be available at www.ihsaa.org.
