Girls' Track Team Wins Ebrite Relays

The Manchester High School girls’ track team won the 76th Ebrite Relays Saturday with 109 points.
The Lady Squires made their mark in the throwing events as Brittany Sievers and Crystal Fuller earned 28 of Manchester’s 109 points.
Sievers set a meet record in the discus with a throw of 117’6" for first place.
Fuller was second in the discus with a toss of 95' 3 1/2".
In the shot put, Fuller was third with a distance of 28’4", and Sievers was fifth with a throw of 27' 4 1/2".
In the long jump, Mackenie Coulter-Kern finished eighth with a jump of 13' 9 1/2".
Manchester also made some noise on the track as well, winning two relays and coming in second in another.
The 3200m relay team of Andy Sharfman, Hanna Schmidt, Liza Terrill, and Darien Rodriguez won with a time of 10:57.0, while the 1600m relay team of Lille Terrill, Coulter-Kern, Rodriguez, and Schmidt won with a time of 4:26.4.
The sprint medley relay team of Kaytlyn Eberly, Lille Terrill, Shady Tharp, and Coulter-Kern finished second with a time of 2:00.6. The 800m relay team of Tharp, Shae Rager, Taylor Byers and Terrill finished fourth with a time of 2:01.1.
In individual events, Sharfman finished second in the 1600m run (5:53.1), and Paige Woods was fifth (6:10.4).
In the high jump, Kyleigh Poole was sixth (4’4") and Eberly was seventh (4’4").
In the 100m hurdles, Elizabeth Schilling was fifth (18.65) and Chelsea Ridenour was seventh (300m hurdles).
The girls’ track team will be at the Wabash County Meet this Thursday.
