MHS Wrestlers 4th At County

The Manchester High School wrestling team finished 1-3 on the day at the Wabash County Meet, good enough for fourth place.
Manchester beat White’s 63-6. Eddie Black won by pin :53 seconds in the first period, Geovanny Flores won by pin :50 in the first, Aaron Snep won by pin :44 in the first Ujarneg Sorensen won by pin :57 in the first, Preston Penrod won by decision 10-8, and six wrestlers won by forfiet.
Manchester lost to Northfield 60-15. Black won by pin at 1:20, Dustin Boyd won 9-8 in overtime, Payton Sorg on by pin at 1:44.
The Squires lost to Southwood 69-6 with just Sorensen winning by pin, 15 seconds left in the second.
Wabash beat the Squires 48-28. Winners were Black, Snep, Sorensen and Penrod all by pin, and Payton Sorg by major decision.
Black and Sorensen finished second on the day, while Sorg and Brayden Bowman were both third.
The wrestling team will be at teh Caston-Triton Super Six at Triton Saturday.
