Hayley Shafer led the Lady Squires with a 48. Erika Milam shot a 52, McKenzie Logan shot a 55, and Hannah Little and Katie Durden both shot 57.
“Three days ago, we played Peru on our home course and scored a 221,” coach Dorey Mobley said. “We played again today and improved 19 strokes. That’s the kind of improvement I am looking for.”
Loss To Canterbury
The girls’ golf team fell to 0-4 with a loss to Canterbury 189-220 at Chestnut Hills in Fort Wayne.
Shafer shot a 50, Little shot a 53, and Milam shot a 56.
“I think we played very well considering the difficulty of Chestnut Hills,” Mobley said. “This course is so narrow compared to what we are used to playing.”

Shafer shot a 105, Logan shot a 110, Little shot a 115, while Milam and Durden both shot 125.
“We struggled a little bit, but we have several weeks to improve before sectional,” Mobley said.
